Strong children with a healthy immune system

We know how important a strong immune system is for our little ones.
That’s why we recommend having your child vaccinated.
Vaccinations protect your child from dangerous diseases and contribute to the health of the whole community.

  • Basic immunization in the first year of life: the six-fold vaccination against tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, polio, haemophilus influenza (e.g. the causative agent of meningitis) and hepatitis B. • 2nd year of life: Vaccination against measles (Please note: in Germany, vaccination against measles is compulsory for all children who go to a daycare center, childminder or school)rubella, mumps and chickenpox as well as meningococcus C (the causative agent of meningitis).
  • Pre-school children: booster vaccination against tetanus, diphtheria, polio and pertussis (whooping cough)
  • From the age of 9: Vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV); this immunization can reduce the risk of cancer of the cervix, penis, mouth and throat.

This is recommended if your child has chronic pre-existing conditions.

Vaccination advice – Do you have questions about immunization?
We have the answers!

Many parents have concerns when it comes to vaccinating their children.
But at Fair Doctors you don’t need to worry.
Our pediatric practice offers comprehensive and individual vaccination advice.
Every child is unique and we are happy to advise you on whether vaccination is advisable.
Broad immunization is generally desirable as it protects not only your children, but also others around them who are at risk.
Pregnant women, cancer patients or people with autoimmune diseases also benefit from vaccination.
Remember: An infection with measles or chickenpox can be life-threatening under certain circumstances.
The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) publishes a vaccination calendar that serves as a guide.
You will find further information on scheduling in your child’s examination booklet.
Good news: All vaccinations recommended by the STIKO are covered by health insurance.
This means there are no costs for parents.
Side effects are extremely rare.
You may experience slight redness or swelling at the injection site.
A slightly impaired general condition and a slight rise in temperature in the days following the vaccination are completely normal and no cause for concern.
In rare cases, vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella can trigger a harmless skin rash.
However, these symptoms are harmless.
We are always available to answer any questions you may have about immunization.
Rely on Fair Doctors to keep your children healthy and safe.
